红宝石，夏季红宝石的生长缓慢或完全停止，要适当遮光，避免暴晒
光照：红宝石喜光，要求全日照。光照不足的时候，叶片会变绿，光照过强时，叶片会红得发黑，叶片上出现黑色的斑点。一年四季都要保安证红宝石见光，夏季高温的时候要适当的遮光，避免暴晒，被灼伤
施肥：在红宝石的生长季节要每月每隔1~2周施一次稀薄饼水肥，冬季的时候，每1~3周施一次稀薄饼水肥或复合化肥。
